[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
maybe the main interesting street of this cute city of west denmark
if you take a look in my portfolio you will often see half timbered houses, an evidence that i love that kind of architecture...
even i'm not a specialist of sepia or B&W conversion, i tried here a sepia, there is no electric cables, the pavement is made with stones, so i thought this street perspective was a good dubject for a sepia old & nostagic mood, and it emphasize the graphism of the house on the right a little bit more...
however if you are curious to see the colour version, see in the WS

Hi jonathan very nice shot
I really like the effect here looks so old and good at this moment
the walls looks great and the details are also good
well done
best regards Toba

Nice "aged" sepia for this pretty street, I support your choice of BW fully as the color version isn't that colorful...

Cheers
A.

I looked at both of your pictures and I must say I prefer the sepia toned image over the color image, not sure why. A great shot you have here. I mostly like the buildings and the cobblestone street, very nice. TFS.

Hi Jonathan,
When I saw the thumbnail, I already thought this street looked familiar, now I recognise it and see it's Ebeltoft. Really good capture from this nice street in this charming town. The sepia works very well for an old mood. Very well done and thanks for sharing!
Regards,
Lars

Hello Jo,
A very nice perspective along this old cobbled street. The black and white treatment suits well and gives a pleasing old fashioned feel to the scene. A very nice range of tones and excellent clarity that brings out the architectural detail to good effect.

Salut Jonathan
Jean-Pierre

Beautiful image in old B&W style, the view is nice as the beautiful atmosphere that the B&W conversion helps a lot, well done Jo, compliments.
Ciao
Vinicio

Bonjour Jo
Eric

Hello Jonathan, very nice b&w, the sepia tone is very well fitted here. I like the perspective of the picture and the old style atmosphere that it depicts. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
Kostas.

Salut Jo
beau travail!!

Very nicely thought Jo,
This is a perfect choice for giving the old look, and maybe i would even consider adding grains to it. I like the slightly warmified B&W tone and how beautifully the architecture has been preserved. TFS,
Deniz

Hi Jonathan,
Very good mild sepia treatment here to enhance the age of the buildings. Good use of lines and repeating patterns. Well composed! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Bonjour Jonathan,
Beau travail.
Bonne journée
Amicalement
Joël

Hi Jo, Lovely b&W view of this old street, splendid perspective, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Jo,
I totally agree with you about stones and sepia tones. Stone pavements always make an elderly feeling coming with nostalgic mood. I like tones in sepia conversion a lot, I prefer this one rather than colored one in WS.
Best,
Burcu

The lack of cables is definitely a plus, the street is charming, though I do prefer both workshops, this one looks rather green than sepia on my monitor, a true B&W or the original colour appealed to me more.

Hi Jonathan
Yes this scene lends itself to B&W. personally I prefer straight B&W without the sepia but that's just my personal opinion. I also like this style of architecture. It does look like an image from years gone by.
Phil

Salut Jo,

Bon week end JY

Hello Jonathan,
nice the B/W conversion of this cute cobblestone pavement of Denmark.I like the great perspective and the existence of the people that add life in the scene.Your effort to convert the colour shot in B/W,i think successful.Informative your note too.

Marie

Jonathan,
a visual impression of what probably most of Europe might have looked before WWII, at least many cities in Germany had this exact appearence. Destruction, violence and following renewal shaped the change and a new visual came out that isn't necessarily always to its best. I love this "Fachwerk" houses a lot and your B&W to sepia gave the image this vintage feeling.
Peter

Ciao Jonathan,
very good place and old tonality applied. Nice architectures and daily life scene
