Photographer’s Note

This is the church "Holy Cross" in the small Danish village Rinkenaes. It is situated on the northern shore of Flensburg Fjord in the very south of Denmark.

This church - in spite of its outer appearance - was built from 1929 to 1932 and it is a national monument, considered to be a "typical Danish church" with its stepped gables.
This little church is situated on a hill above the really beautiful inlet landscape there - with a wonderful view.

and welcome back! So we are neighbors today!
This is really a fantastic picture, you seem to have treated this motive as a painter would have; a perfectly composed and balanced picture, not so many colours (a limited palette...) but a very fine harmony between the red roofs and the dramatic sky. By the way, these typical Danish churches are also quite common in Scania (see here), that once was a part of Denmark (until 1658).

La prise de cette photo est vraiment belle, avec les couleurs vives de l'église, qui ressortent si bien, sur le ciel sombre et menaçant!
Le point de vue est excellent!
Je reconnais là aussi l'architecture typique des églises de Scanie en Suède, qui fut un temps intégré au Danemark!

Bonjour Frank ,
C'est une église à l'architecture vraiment originale . Le point de vue est bien choisi , et le ciel magnifique . C'est peut être un peu sombre , mais avec ce contraste des murs blancs , l'effet est agréable .

Guten Morgen, Frank! Tolle Architektur, diese "Noerdler" haben es voll im Griff. Die Kirche ist zwar dominant, fuegt sich aber trotzdem bestens in die Landschaft ein. Ein herrlicher Himmel, voller Dynamik, die Wolken kommen und gehen. Tolles Bild, passend zum Sonntagmorgen. Beste Gruesse aus dem leicht herbstlichen Bergland ... Barbara.

Bonjour Frank,
Mais c'est une jolie église à l'architecture particulière qui n'a rien à voir avec nos églises catholiques. Sa blancheur et sa couverture rouge tranche agréablement avec un ciel polarisé à l'extrême.
Je pense que tu as ramené beaucoup de belles images du "plat pays" ;o)
Mes amitiés d'une Corse qui ne se remet pas encore des fortes intempéries puisqu'il est prévu encore 2 à 3 jours d'orages.

A very different kind of church from you. Obviously- you were in Denmark. (Becoming a world traveler? :-))The interior certainly looks very Danish.

Dramatic sky. But overall, the photo is a little dark on my screen.

Hallo Frank,
klasse Bild dieser Kirche mit tollem Kontrast zum bewölkten Himmel im Hintergrund. Das starke Seitenlicht hast du gekonnt belichtet, was ja speziell bei weissen Gebäuden nicht immer einfach ist. Die Schärfe ist sehr gut und man kann jedes Detail der Kirche gut erkennen. Zusammen mit deinem Kommentar und den WS-Bildern ein rundherum gelungener Beitrag.

Toll, wie gerade das rote Dach gegenüber dem blauen Hintergrund heraussticht. Der Bildaufbau gefällt mir sehr gut. Schnörkellos, was aber perfekt zum "Subjekt" passt.

wie schön, dass Du Zeit gefunden hast für einen Abstecher über die Grenze! Das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen! Wunderbare Farben und Kontraste und eine ausgezeichnete Beleuchtung. Persönlich bevorzuge ich den POV im WS, aber das ist Ansichtssache. Hast Du noch mehr Bilder mitgebracht?

Hallo Frank,
Deine Aufgabe war hier nicht einfacher als die meine in Martonvásár. Die Wolken waren besonders höflich zu Dir, ich finde das Ergebnis für hervorragend.
In Neo-Stilen erbauten Gebäude gefallen mir meistens nicht, das hier ist aber eine Ausnahme. (Zumal, dass die Dänen, den Engländern ähnlich, mit Kirchenbauen angeblich schon im 13-ten Jahrhundert aufgehört haben, eine dänische Kirche in einem anderen Stil können sie sich einfach nicht vorstellen. Tja, glückliche Länder, wo nicht alles durch regelmäßige Kriege zerstört wurden!)

Bonjour mon cher Frank
Je suis très intéressé par l'originalité de cette architecture.
Le point de vue en 3/4 met bien en évidence le volume.
La forte luminosité blance de la façade a influencé le capteur du 400D pour donner une impression d'une image le matin de très bonne heure ou en fin de journée.
Si la photo a été prise en milieu de journée, il serait intéressant de surexposer de +2/3EV par rapport aux données calculées.
