Photographer’s Note

Here is another photo of Bulbjerg, the only bird cliff in Denmark, by the Northsea in Northwestern Denmark.

It is is 47 meters high and consist mainly of calcium and limestone and it the home of 3000-4000 breeding sea birds like Kittiwakes (Rissa tridactyla) and Fulmars (Fulmarus glacialis).

Bulbjerg was part of the German defence work during the Second World War and there is still is a small bunker in the top (fortunately, not too disturbing) and also some bunkers on the beach next to Bulbjerg.

For another photo of Bulbjerg, taken from another point of view, look here.

The photo is rotated, I increased the contrast and the red (with 2%) and some very white spots on the rock, and I made the noice in the sky a bit softer. I also decreased the light a bit and resized and sharpened the photo in InfranView. Unfortunately, two bird in the sky got some strange and ugly circles. And oh yes, I didn't use a polarizer (I don't even have one) and I didn't work on the sky (apart from contrasts and light).
