SHOES
The main autumn exhibition 2008 at Trapholt museum, Kolding, Denmark has a particular resonance for women – although, of course, men are also very welcome! The exhibition “Shoes” examines the significance of footwear, and highlights beauty, function and comfort with the focus on the 21st century.
Shoes are part of the human dress and serve a range of functional purposes. But shoes are also beautiful, sculptural objects, worn independently of their functional aspect – and purely for their own splendour.

The exhibition is prolonged until 1 March 2009. So hurry if you want to be too big for your shoes or want to know where the shoe pinches.

The picture is of a showcase at the exhibition full of shoe-attributes like shoehorns, shoe polish, shoe brushes etc.

Brown Shoes don’t make it

Brown shoes don’t make it
Brown shoes don’t make it
Quit school, why fake it
Brown shoes don’t make it
Tv dinner by the pool
Watch your brother grow a beard
Got another year of school
You’re okay, he’s too weird
Be a plumber
He’s a bummer
He’s a bummer every summer
Be a loyal plastic robot
For a world that doesn’t care
That’s right
Smile at every ugly
Shine on your shoes and cut your hair
