Photographer’s Note

This place is called Barsoe Landing, it is located on Lojt Land Peninsula at the Little Belt north of Aabenraa Fjord in Southern Jutland.
The charming landscape of Lojt Land has a network of idyllic sunken roads. At the end of one of those roads you'll find Barsoe Landing, a very tiny harbour. A smell ferry (on the right side) sails to Barsoe, the most beautiful island in the little belt and a magnet for visitors seeking unusual and unspoiled nature. The trip lasts 15 minutes. There is only space for 24 persons or one tractor.
You won't find much infrastructere here apart from the ferry, some holiday cottages and a small camp site. It is a quiet place where you can get pleasure from nature, it is almost Scandinavia in a nut shell.

Beautiful Danish seaside scene. Interesting group of old boats and nice spring sunshine. Midday sun looks rather harsh though. I did a workshop with some adjustments.

Hello Harriet,

Your chosen title describes this scene perfectly. The calm water, the lack of people, the low pov all contribute to this feeling!
The viewpoint cleverly urges the eyes to take the plunge and venture across the water towards the interesting boats, and then onwards towards the horizon. Nice details.

The title is chosen well. This photo has a really atmosphere of peace.
The centring of this small harbour is excellent. I like spices in the water which strengthen the aspect of a wild nature. A very beautiful place for holidays restful and certainly to make some painting!

I like the subject and setting but you could include more of the sea and small boats that ground view takes too much portion on the scenery

Definetely sounds like my kind of place where one can soak up the quiet beauty at a lazy summer pace. Very peaceful landscape with the tiny fishing vessesls making a tranquil reflection in the calm blue waters.
Nothing to here but explore and all day to do it.
