Photographer’s Note
this is a view through one of the many ww2 bunkers that remains on the beaches on the danish west coast.
The shot was the second one i uploaded here and i felt it could be a lot better with editing.
So here is the B+W version

Harry,
This is an amazing shot- the content is great and you did a great job on the black and white. The contrast is well done.

A lost time when many lost their lives, seems to be a fitting memorial to those who fought on either side bravely.
I must say you do a fantastic conversion to b&w

Hi Harry
what a beautifull photo!
great capture and composition, and the choice of the B&W is far better in this case ( at least for me..)
it realces the mood of the clouds that otherwise seems little impressive..

Hi Harry!
You keep making a good job with your conversions. The difference is really huge, good idea to post this version now. It's much more impression and that's great onece it is so full of history.
Good work!

Hi Harry,
This B&W version is so much more dramatic. It really emphasizes the feel of history. Very good converion and PP-work, composition and POV.

Interesting shot, with the bunker being both below and above the ocean. The black & white conversion looks great too, and has the added benefit of blending the clouds with the upper part of the bunker. Excellent work!

The weathered concrete works wonders in B&W Haary, together with the wild sea and turbulent sky - the result is actually spectacular.Great work!
On the Dutch North Sea coast are still a lot of these bunkers too.
Have a fine weekend,

Excellent B&W conversion once again. There seems to be so much more visible detail than in the colour version. You chose a great POV looking through this huge rock, which I guess is the roof of the bunker(?)

Wonderful photo Hatty. The rock has amazing textures and the bunker form gaves a pretty art view.
Nice work with the B&W.

Hi Harry, another of those fantastic PP treatments of yours! Now comparing the original version with your interpretation I have to admit that you did a marvelous job. It gives the right atmosphere for what this building was erected once. It gives drama and dynamics. The original is flat and without any interest.

Hej Harry,
I like very much to see this B&W-version also. It shows great contrasts, not only on the stone, but also in the quite threatening clouds. I find the composition also good. A very successful repost. Good work!

Hi Harry
Excellent postprocessing. The effect makes the image much more interesting and mysterious than in the original version. Great capture through the bunker.

Harry, you have some amazing black and white photos in your gallery. I think this is one of your better ones though, with the overhanging rock, giving added detail with the dark shadow below it.

Hi Harry. Watched Saving Private Ryan (again) the other day and this view brings it back to you what the Germans would see as the enemy landed on the beaches. God, I wouldn't like to be in that situation. Good pp. Don't have the clarify ;(
Happy Easter
