Hi Kaj. A surprise to see a human being given prominence, as your usual shots are of vistas. This is a highly accomplished portrait of a man practicing an ancient trade.I feel that the time for such people is limited as we adopt more and more the consume and discard policy. Your photo really gives a great looks, like its from earlier times. Your timing is exact for capturing meaningful looks of him while holding his hands together and your creative POV excellently adding shoes. Hello Kaj,
This is a splendid portrait - capturing the quiet dignity of this craftsman. The subtle sepia tones hint at the warmth of the wood, leather and metal, which would be lost in pure B&W. I personally like the dark area in the top of the picture, as it balances the other dark area at the lower edge very well.
