Photographer’s Note
This 39-m lighthouse is situated at the westernmost point of Denmark's Jutland peninsula overlooking the North Sea coast.
On the autumn day when we visited, there were almost gale force winds, so strong that we could barely walk northward along the beach. The winds caused the sand to form a fluidized bed that peppered our legs.

Hi William,
I really like the framing here with the FG grass adding both DOF and conveying wind velocity. The angle of the hillside frames the off-center light tower and keeper's house nicely. You managed the difficult light well to capture excellent detail in the sky.

Hi William,
Good angle to take this white light house, good effect with grass on the left side to give a well balanced composition.

Hello William,
This is a fine lighthouse of an impressive size, the guy standing over there gives good scaling!
I think a square lighthouse is rather unusual as most of them seem to be round - I have no idea why that is so but I'm sure there is a reason...
The composition works well with inclusion of the keeper's quarters, and the grassy sand dunes is typical for this part of the world..!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi William,
I always love photographs of light houses, I tried to stop and photograph every one of them when I was driving down the Oregon Coast, and off course the California Coast too. This is any impressive size light house, Technically you did just fine, sharpness and clarity if fine even in such low light. Compositionally, I would have prefer if the tower is not right in the center of the image. Beside there is too much of negative space on the left with not much there. I would have place the light house 1/4 way from the left and leave the negative and emty space more on the right to allow more room for the houses and trees. Otherwise it is a really nice shot with a cold and misty mood. The color and light is well managed with adequate saturation and contrast.
Way.
