Photographer’s Note

another shot of old town of Ribe... with some old houses, built centuries ago...
it was a very good moment to visit... there was a jazz festival, cool music everywhere in interior courts !

here not old but colored houses

only one regret, i missed the boy with the yellow bag when he was in the light, my camera was too slow to start and be ready

A lovely composition with good diagonals, colors handled well. Pity about the slow camera; I've had the same problem even with a DSLR sometimes. There are days when I miss the old manual film cameras that didn't argue with me when I wanted to do something.

Yes the yellow bag would have been a nice compliment to the yellows in the walls but a nice shot nonetheless. I like the diagonal lines created by your chosen POV.

Une bonne perspective avec cette composition bien pensée avec une ligne de fuite qui part de chaque coin de l'image.
Ces maisons colorées égayent une ville qui serait sinon bien triste...
D'accord avec toi, la présence du passant aurait beaucoup mieux dynamisé l'image s'il avait été dans la lumière.

Great colour! This seems more like something you would see in a southern country, and yet there is is in Scandanavia. Despite the fact that the boy is out of the sun he is still visible and he adds a lot to the shot because it gives this a good sense of life. Well done!

Jo, nice shot, I wish we here could learn from our ancestors in Europe. Your note mentions centuries, we here are young and seem to preserve nothing of the past, oh well.

Your shot is very good, color and details are great and the pov I think gives a good feel for the street. Fine capture,

Celle ci est plus lumineuse que les suivantes, jolie perspective aboutissant sur la tour, c'est vrai que la personne dans l'ombre n'attire pas tout de suite le regard.

Bonjour Jonathan,
la personne qui apparaît dans l'image évite que celle-ci soit une scène sans vie et isolée, et donne une bonne référence aux dimensions de cette rue à laquelle ton bon cadrage a donné une perspective fantastique et profonde.
Il y a un bon graphism et une belle géométrie de lignes dans ta composition, dans laquelle les couleurs, la lumière et les ombres jouent un grand rôle esthétique.

Hello Jonathan,
it would have been the cherry on the cake with the yellow bag and the person a bit closer, nevertheless I like very much this image, am a fan of nordic style, nice diagonal here, the human touch is welcome, the light management is superb, colours plenty and lovely, I like the reflections in the house on the left, crisp details, nice job:-)
