Hi Jonathan,
One thing is for definite, is that the sky is moody and very dramatic, with wonderful lighting and contrasts. In my opinion, however, the foreground is too dark with very little detail to it, and this area is emphasised further by the choice of the thick black frame. Maybe a thin white border to the top of the frame would have improved it, otherwise a different frame altogether. I really like the top half of the image, but not the bottom.

Hello Jonathan,
The dark gloomy sky as background makes the clouds and the sea color to look splendid.
The framing is perfect. It's really very good the way you use the coast line to keep the interest in the main subjects which are the sky the clouds and the sea.

le ciel est tout simplement extraordinaire!J'adore sa luminosité et le contraste que ça donne avec les parties sombres.Je me demande si tu n'aurais pas dû enlever un peu d'anvant-plan,laisser une bande un peu poins large.Ce n'est qu'un détail,la photo est magnifique!
Tout mes meilleurs voeux pour 2008.

Bonjour Jonathan,
C'est une belle image, et effectivement c'est un peu noir au propre et au figuré pour présenter un paysage plutôt écologique avec les éoliennes. C'est toutefois une belle image et ton ws arrange bien les choses.

Un beau paysage, comme on espère de cettes régions... un grand espace, plain, avec de moulins de vent. Surtout un ciel extraordinaire, j'aime ici la puissance de la lumière et les reflections dans l'eau!

Ta 2è version est meilleure il me semble, la meilleure de toutes (vu aussi celle de TL, pas mal ; mais le ciel ici ! fantastique, vraiment !)

Je ne sais pas pourquoi la fin de l'année a deux effets pervers sur les photographes : certains donnent dans la débauche de couleurs, d'autres dans la déprime. Sinon, il y a quand même une trés jolie lumière à l'horizon de celle-ci, même si ele fait un peu faire-part de décès à l'ancienne avec ses bandes noires en encadrement. Et puis les éoliennes rendent mieux en petites silouettes comme ici qn'en réalité.

S'il n'y avait pas les éoliennes, on pourrait penser à un ciel de Van Ruysdael, ce fantastique peintre flamand spécialiste des ciels. Les rayons bruns rougeâtres qui descendent sont particulièrement extraordinaires.
J'aime les 2 versions, je n'arrive pas à élire un préféré!

Jonathan,
I agree with Grant. It is to dark, despite lighten it up through your title that prepares us already for the darkness. The WS does some correction, but at the same time you made the sky brighter again. That would be a typical scene to either make several shots with different light exposures and than perform HDR or do a PP with several layers. I think that the work would compensate and rewarding to get the fantastic mood that you captured here in a better presentation.

Moi, j'aime bien quand c'est dark comme cela... Assez impressionnant et très sympa avec ces éoliennes, si petites... Par contre, l'horizon ne serait pas un peu tilté ?

Hello Jonathan, ça roule avec Jennifer ?
Pour moi elle est pas trop foncée cette image, ça donne une ambiance dramatique, mais le bas de l'image prend un peu trop de place à mon avis.
Je me serais surement rapproché de l'eau pour prendre plus de ciel.
