Photographer’s Note
On this picture, you can see Aalborghus Slot, which is situated near the centre of the North-Jutlandic city of Aalborg.
Aalborghus Slot was built in the 16th century by King Christian III. It had to be a fortress, but it turned out to be useless as a fortress. For that reason, it became the head-quaters of the vassal of the King in North-Jutland.
The part of the building, you can see on my picture is not so old as the rest of the building. This part was built in the 1630's by King Christian IV.
I took it through a hole in a door.
Hope you like it!

Well Lars - a fine view of this old half timbered building - I'm not sure if I ever visit this place, but may I will some day. Any way a nice example and indeed a rather old house with a long historie. Remember when posting photo - its not always the best choiche to post photos in ration 3:4 or 2:3. in this case would a 1:1.5 have done nicely and given us more sight and less frame - thanks anyway for the sight.

Nice scene and funny framing with the window but I think you could have cropped a bit closer.
In my opinion the photo suffers from heavy use of sharpening, there are strong "halos" along all edges adding a strange artificial look. While gratifying at first look, the Unsharp Mask Filter is a dangerous tool.

Hej Lars!
Nice picture. Good compostion. Torben is right about the sharpening, but it's still a good picture.

Very well framed and composed, Lars. The contrast is very good, as well as the composition. I just think that it is too much sharpened, at least that's what I see in that part of the sky. But it is a very nice work, Lars!

Hej Lars,
Although this image doesn't have much quality and I don't have any idea why is that (if it's from pp, or not...), but it doesn't matter, as I find the POV and composition very original and that is more important, for me, than the quality.
Also those timbered façades are wonderful and the lighting and colours are good. It's a pitty the cars, but that you couldn't do anything and I don't like very much the option of cloning objects from original photos. Good one from your beginig and I'm sure that you would do a much better pp now.
p.s.-no map-view on this one also (don't worry, because you have a lot of them and I'm not up-dating my work my self...)
Have a nice evening,
Ricardo

Very nice framing, a bit like taking a picture though some kind of peep hole. Nice colors but oversharpness in my opinion (which is understandable since it is among your first postings).
All the best,
Emmanuel
