Photographer’s Note
This is a church in the city of Aalborg in the North of Jutland.
The church is called the Budolfi Kirke. The oldest parts of the church are from 1100, but the main parts of the church were built around 1400. The spire dates from 1779.
Aalborg (also spells as Ålborg) is a city in the North of Denmark. It's the fourth biggest city in Denmark with about 121,000 inhabitants. It was built on the south bank of Limfjorden and has a connection to the North Sea and the Kattegat.
The city was founded as a trading post by Vikings for more than 1000 years ago.
I took it on a very sunny autumn day, unfortunately with a bad camera.
I hope you like it.

Hej Lars,
Welcome to TE:)
Nice compostion. It makes this church very impressive. It 's a shame that your camera doesn't make that very sharp pictures. But for the nice colors and compostion, you get 2 points anyway.

Welcome to TE!
Yes it seems thatyou had problems with the exposure because one of the façades is overexposed. You could have metered the light in the bright area, which would make the shadow area darker. But in the pc it's easy to recover the details in the dark areas so it would have been possible to balance the exposure.
The same does not apply to over-exposed areas. Keep that in mind. Prefer to keep darker areas than very bright ones.
Just a tip about TE. Don't be afraid to write critiques. People appreciate constructive critiques with helping advises, and will generate attention over your work.

What incredibly strong colours for Denmark - almost unnatural. But this is a nice contribution to my theme on Danish churches, so welcome and thanks for the sight.

Great angle, great colors. I like this one a lot. There is some noise but that's probably due to scanning. Still a good picture though.

Hoi Lars,
Een erg mooie combinatie een wit gebouw met donker blauwe lucht. De schaduw heb je ook erg goed onder controle als ook je POV. Super

I really like this kind of pov, especially with this kind of subject ! And when you have such a blue sky...

Hi Lars!
Today I browsed your gallery and stopped on this one, which I like, because this point of view is very good; I also like all the lines, shapes and shadows, so this is a good work!

Hi Lars, I am going back to your "historical" photos. I can see how much you have improved in comparing with your old pictures, especially from PP point of view. You have well mastered the PoV. An impressive composition from the start.

Hi Lars
a great pov. ive seen quite a few of these odd pov's from you, and they generally works pretty well. the dark blue sky works great as background for the white tower.

Une composition très rigoureuse, Lars, avec ce clocher tout en relief à cause de l'éclairage.
Seul le ciel paraît avoir un peu de bruit.

I have at least reached the beginning of your gallery, but will probably have to go backward to find the other ones I missed. A nice geometrical point of view of this small white church, and the white color of the wall stand very well in front of the very blue sky.
All the best,
Emmanuel
