Århus Reflections

My next picture is a reflection again and again from Denmark, but this time from the city of Århus, the second-largest town in the country (after Copenhagen).
The photo was taken last month.

Århus (or Aarhus) is situated on the east coast of Jylland (Jutland) in Region Midtjylland (Region Central Jutland) (and formerly in Århus Amt). The city claims the unofficial title of Jyllands hovedstad (Capital of Jutland).
The city (municipality) has almost 300,000 inhabitants. Århus got city rights in 1441, but the city is probably older than 770 A.D, making it the oldest big city in Scandinavia. Its name is derived from the Old-Danish name Aros, Åens munding (Mouth of the river).

Nowadays it's most famous for the open-air museum Den gamle by (The Old Town), the town hall, designed by Arne Jacobsen and the new art museum ARoS. The centre of the city is concentrated around the shopping street (often refered to as Strøget, like in Copenhagen) and Åboulevarden, which you can see here and which is a place with many restaurants and cafes.

Hope you like this view. I was glad I found a new glass facade with an interesting reflection again. :-)
