Århus Reflections
My next picture is a reflection again and again from Denmark, but this time from the city of Århus, the second-largest town in the country (after Copenhagen).
The photo was taken last month.
Århus (or Aarhus) is situated on the east coast of Jylland (Jutland) in Region Midtjylland (Region Central Jutland) (and formerly in Århus Amt). The city claims the unofficial title of Jyllands hovedstad (Capital of Jutland).
The city (municipality) has almost 300,000 inhabitants. Århus got city rights in 1441, but the city is probably older than 770 A.D, making it the oldest big city in Scandinavia. Its name is derived from the Old-Danish name Aros, Åens munding (Mouth of the river).
Nowadays it's most famous for the open-air museum Den gamle by (The Old Town), the town hall, designed by Arne Jacobsen and the new art museum ARoS. The centre of the city is concentrated around the shopping street (often refered to as Strøget, like in Copenhagen) and Åboulevarden, which you can see here and which is a place with many restaurants and cafes.
Hope you like this view. I was glad I found a new glass facade with an interesting reflection again. :-)

Very nice reflections thanks to the contrat between the modern architecture of the wall walled building and the traditional one of the houses reflected.

Dag Lars,
Ik heb het reeds diverse malen geprobeert om weerspiegelingen uit glas gevels te halen, maar ik heb nooit dergelijk mooi effect behaald.
Het is echt fantastisch Lars wat u hier ten beste geeft, mooi gedaan.
Bedankt!
Groeten uit Vlaanderen,
John.

Hello Lars,
I wonder what makes me believe you're specializing in reflections..! Hehehehe, this is well done as always...
This time the wall of windows gives a fairly true to reality image; great colours and an awesome amount of details!

Olá Lars, excellent adition to your theme. Great POV and mix of old and new architecture. That's the good thing with façades made of glass - they can give us new shapes and reflected images constantly. The composition is very good, giving us context of reality at right. Love the detail of the tree spying you... ;-)
Have a nice weekend,

An excellent visual effect : old buildings in a modern glass wall. Ans the tree at the end of the perspective produces unexpected colors and shapes.
Very well seen.

Hi Lars, A great eye you have, most people walking past this place would not see these wonderful reflections, however you did & have photographed them very well, I like the even level of your POV, the light is very good & it’s superbly composed, kind regards Wilson.

Very interesting reflections. I've seen this done a couple of times now and feel that the pic might perhaps look a bit better of you only saw the facade+reflections, with everything else (railing, bridge, building on the right) cut off. Don't know, maybe that's just me. Still a nice capture.

Hi Lars,
Amazing relections. With such a lot of glass and dull weather it not easy to see if it is relections or something inside the glass. Excellent composition and a lot of exiting lines. A really fine job!

Hello Lars,
You present extra dimensions in the exquisite composition. The reflection, refraction and transparency of the plate glass is beautifully employed; the colors and resolution are first rate. As usual your note is highly informative.

Venlig hilsen

Hi Lars,
I am a lover of reflections, urban or in nature and this is very good indeed. The oblique composition makes the image nicely graphic, a mix repetitive lines in very good colors. The mix of old and new is interesting, and I like the inclusion of a bit of bridge and a few people for a lively feeling.
TFS

Hi Lars,
Very interesting 'study' on the reflections and glass patterns. It's funny to see the 'old' face of the street reflect on the brand new buildings. One imagines something like 'the memory of architecture or of the street'. It's also pleasing to see the persons and the half of the tree, the only thing 'natural' beyond the humans.
Regards, José.
