Photographer’s Note
Thanks for welcoming me into the world of bug macro :o) As Bente suggested yesterday, I've posted picture 24, a red damselfly. These were the hardest to get for me, because they never seem to rest very long.
I kindda like the shadow, i think.
Good advise is very welcome.

Considering these are your first macros Line, I've got to sat they're pretty damn good. I like the offset position of the dragonfly as well as the details and the colours in your shot. Well done!

Nothing wrong with this Large red damselfly, (Pyrrhosoma nymphula ) and its male. it is a spot on picture right down to the very details wing shadows. Just keep them coming at this quality, a pleasure to see.

No nit on the dof, colour & even the shadow, I love it all. My opinion, & that is all, is that you must rotate this 90º CCW and crop off the green on the now right - will will get the fly on a diagonal, a bit larger and more pleasing composition.
BTW, I am selling my F100, no more slides for me, and I want the Sigma 180 mm 1: 1 Macro lens. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark if only you guys do macro, I am green!

Yes, that's the one, nice and sharp all over, and - I knew it - even good enough to impress Robert ;-))
I agree with Callie about cropping from the right, but whether to rotate it some to get a diagonal, that's a matter of taste.

This is very lovely, but I think it could do with some tightening. The way the damselfly sits on the leaf is nice. It doesn't need all that territory on the right side, so I did a workshop cropping a bit. Since I had plenty of pixels left I decided to give you exactly what you DON'T want... a nice colorful border. ;-) All in fun my friend.

Excellent picture of a Large red damselfly, (Pyrrhosoma nymphula) Line. You are learning and improving very fast - congratulation. About the advise I agree with the others - just keep them comming and maybe you should save a little money for a D70, then you can share the rest of the equipment with your father;-).
