The history of the Gammel Estrup manor can be traced back to the 1340 when it was called Essendrup. The manor got the name Gammel Estrup in 1587. The main building which you see in the photo was built in 1490 and extended and renovated in the centuries after.
Gammel Estrup has been the seat of the important Danish noble families Brock and Scheel, some of the largest property owners in the country. Up until 1926 the property was never for sale, being handed down from one generation to the next.
Today, the building is home to the Gammel Estrup, Jutland’s Manor House Museum, while the former livestock buildings house the Danish Agricultural Museum. The museum stands as an exponent of classic manor house culture with interiors from the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Furnishings and paintings include many unique items that represent an exciting and distinctive history. In the buildings around the manor you can find the Danish agricultural museum.
Gammel Estrup can be found near Auning along the road between Randers and Grenaa.

Nice well balanced photo. The bridge leads the eye nicely to the manor. The colors and lighting are great with nice sharpness and DOF.

Belle photo de ce beau chateau, de ce joli pont et de ce terrain bien entretenu.Cette eau et ces arbres qui sont devant le batiment lui donne un plus a sa beauté. Amitiés Thomas

This is a nice attractive image of this manor. The lighting and contrasts are good and the framing works well with the bridge accompanying the manor. Would have been nice to see a few white puffy clouds but I suppose one shouldn't complain about a blue sky!!

Une réalisation très soignée et de très belles couleurs, un très beau contraste entre le vert du paysage et le bleu du ciel pour bien mettre en valeur ce chateau.
Très beau travail, amicalement

Beautiful weather in Denmark ! The colors are bright. Good exposure. The rules of composition are respected but the blue sky and the green grass are a little bit empty. Didn't you have the opportunity of approaching the manor, till the path we see along water and change your POV for better filling your composition ? You could have the reflection of the manor and trees in the water as foreground. Just a suggestion for next time,

A luminous image of a nice castle that got the good idea to let itself build from red bricks so that it could one day offer a good contrasting element against a nice blue sky ;-))
Composition is fine with this leading bidge to the off centered castle and the panoramic framing to widen the view.
Have a nice day,
