Den Gamle By is a museum joining together the old houses of all Denmark, the majority of the houses sheltering of the objects of time of each trade, as clock and watch maker, marshal-ferrand, blacksmith, printer...
these houses were dismounted stone by stone and joined together in the heart of Aarhus...
of the actors pass, like a teacher and its pupils, barouches pass...
and much of tourists saunter

in the middle of this square, a fountain, the weather was warm, the sky was ideal for photography :D

Hello Jo,
very typical and lovely north european square is well shown here, good point of view, I like the fountain placed in the left and all the children around it. Nice light management with the rich shadows and very beautiful houses facades, especially the light pink one.

Je suis allé là bas la semaine dernière et il faisait à peu près le même temps que sur ta photo en moins chaud évidement!Il y avait moins de monde lors de ma visite!

Hello Jonathan,
En regardant tous ces enfants autour de cette fontaine, je me disais qu’on a finalement tous le même réflexe d’aller jeter un œil à l’intérieur quand on en rencontre une !
Superbe décor, il faudrait imposer aux visiteurs de venir avec un costume d’époque, ce serait sympa :o)
Je me demandais si des films y sont tournés ?
En tout cas, excellente composition ici !

Hello Jonathan.
This is a great photo of this unique part of the town. As always you have managed to get a more than perfect exposure, the light in the photo is just sooo excellent. The exposure gives also great colours and sharpness. The point of view and composition are also very good. And I like architecture of these old houses.

J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance qui règne à travers cette composition. L'on dirait presque la prise de vue d'un tournage pour un film. La qualité est tellement bonne qu'une impression de relief se détache de l'ensemble.
L'architecture est parfaitement mise en valeur.

Jonathan, je trouve cette photo très belle. Cette idée de reconstituer un village avec de belles maisons d'époque pour faire revivre le passé est une très bonne idée. Aucun film ne peut remplacer l'immersion dans un cadre de vie reconstitué.

Jo, nice shot of contemporary daily life in an ancient city. I thinkk of the age of this town and marvel that it has survived into the current age. Your shot is wonderfully detailed and we can see the construction details, great shot.
