Vikings !

each year in the woods of Moesgaard, in the south of Aarhus, there is a meeting that recall the memory of the Viking age

first you have to walk near the sea
you pass a bridge spaning a little river
at this moment you see this
after, you arrive at a 'village' with tents
and then you hear a noise coming from the woods
you go to see what's going on
and you see several viking clans !

This is a nice shot of these fine Vikings. Your composition is great placing the people in sharp focos while making the backgound soft. The lighting and colors are fine and the shot has good clarity.

the image of this group of Wikings warlike seems drawn by a medieval movie. Unfortunately so curious and interesting photos see few in TE. Good neatness and beautiful colors. Really a beautiful job. I like it.

Hi Jonathan,
It must be a great experience to meet the Vikings here in the woods near Moesgaard. I can remember it's a beautiful area there, very suitable for keeping history alive. Here they also seem to be ready to enter the longship from one of your previous and sail across the North Sea to attack a town like 1,000 years ago. Very good capture, thanks for sharing!

These are my kind of barbarians. The Viking hordes reign supreme! Excellent shot of this reenactment and you must have had a lot of fun taking this photo. I am glad that it is not 960 AD and I have to face these fierce looking warriors in battle! Great work!

Un trés sympatique bande de Vikings des temps modernes qui cherchent je suppose à retrouver les émotions fortes de leurs ancêtres (ah, quelle est loin la belle époque des viols et des pillages tout autour de l'Europe et jusqu'au Maghred...).

A fabulous image of mdern Vikings. I like very much the slightly subdued (not oversaturated colors) for this image. They appear to be posing for another photographer, allowing you to capture them in a more relaxed, and unperturbed manner.

Une belle photo de groupe, rien à voir mais ça me rappelle le film Braveheart de Gibson... Il a une bonne tête de Viking celui qui est accroupi à gauche !!! Original et intéressant, merci aussi pour les photos bonus.

Ha les vikings! par thor!.
saches que vers le petit village de noezry, si tu t'y arrêtes en quittant le danemark tu pourras manger un repas médiéval, en tenue d'époque!.
C'est toujours sympa un peu de folklore.

Ha ha, it reminds me somewhat of the opening scene of "Gladiator", all seems historic and authentic, maybe the smiling girl at right pulls us away from the battlefield.

There is a similar annual event a little further south in Horsens, although that is a middle age theme weekend.

Un endroit que je connais très bien Moesgaard et que j'aime beaucoup!
Je n'ai encore jamais eu l'occasion d'aller à ce rassenblement viking mais à la vue de ta photo cela donne une certaine envie, bravo à toi et bon dimanche.

Hi Jo, je me suis bien amusée en voyant cette longue série de photos, elles sont toutes intéressantes pour les costumes, les expressions sont souvent comiques aussi... Ils ont l'air de bien s'amuser, je me demande ce qu'on buvait avec eux : du cidre, ou quelque chose de similaire ?
Très sympa, je suis toujours heureuse d'apprendre des choses sur les coutumes et les cultures des gens, ici on est servis !
