i did not planed to upload the photos of that meeting on TE as the quality is not very good, but after all, TE's goal is to learn about the world through photography, so...
several times i received critiques about the fact that the people are missing in my shots or they are not enough close
i generaly show on TE photos that i would have framed even if there was nobody (architecture, monuments, landscapes...)
here the subject IS people ! it's not often, so enjoy ;)

each year in the woods of Moesgaard, in the south of Aarhus, there is a meeting that recall the memory of the Viking age

first you have to walk near the sea
you pass a bridge spaning a little river
at this moment you see this
after, you arrive at a 'village' with tents
and then you hear a noise coming from the woods
you go to see what's going on
and you see several viking clans !

This looks like a crowded TE meeting in Aarhus, but why did you wear Viking clothes? :PP
I share your ideas in your note Jonathan. This is an excellent photo that teaches me about the habits of those people, and it is one of the most interesting ones i've seen tonight. TFS,

la photo n'est pas au top au niveau de la qualité , certes , mais ta note est bien faite et ces vikings ont l'air bien sympathiques c'est ce qui compte aussi

I must admit it is a fine TE meeting,
I see a lot members of trekeearth here, the photo is nice I like the TE photojob here, good quality, nice job, have a fine evening.

Bonsoir Jonathan,
Faire revivre certains aspects spectaculaires du passé, celà taraude beaucoup d'entre nous, surtout si ces aspects nous flattent et attisent notre fierté en mettant en exergue notre Histoire. Ta photo résume un peu ça. Ces gens sont fiers et s'amusent à la fois. avec les ws, Bonnes photos didactives et bonnes réalisations.

A very cute photo, almost like taken on a movie set. The colors and sharpness are very nice, but I really cannot comment on who is missing realy. Nice photojob.

Joi groupe haut en couleurs, comme on n'a pas encore invente la machine a remonter le temps a ma connaissance on se croirait en plein tournage d'un film historique. La pour le coup c'est sur que ca ne manque pas de figurants ;-)

un photo qui semble d'un autre temps heureusement que ce genre de manifestation est devenu un peu plus courant, belle assemblée de guerriers, bon cadrage

Jo, I think this is great, I love the re-enactors here in the US, I think it is a great way to make history more understandable and it is sure better than having to constantly live holding to the old rules and traditions. On top of all else I would wager that these folks have a great time when ever they are participating in these events.

J'aime bien ta photo, ils sont tous trés naturels dans leur accoutrement viking, on se croirait à la vieille d'une razzia au bel âge des pillages et des conquêtes... En lus la qualité n'est pas mauvaise, l'image est nette et la composition diagonale intéressante.
Cela me rappelle le village médiéval de Visby dans l'ile de Gotland, où tout le monde est déguisé (y compris les touristes qui le souhaitent : trés amusant le camescope avec un haut de chausse...).

Hi Jonathan! Very good and faith representation of season of history of old years. Amazing the characteristic types that you presented in the L. Here of course are set up, but better I have I study all the team of soldiers and flags, and shields, amazing work!(I want to learn for anymore season you say? 15century? and what precisely becomes there?)
