Photographer’s Note
...This photo was taken during my visit to Aarhus .
One of the main reasons why I also wanted to revisit Marselisborg castle was to see again this fountain created by one of my favourite artists :
Jens Flemming Sorensen.
Jens Flemming Sorensen was born in Copenhagen in 1933.
His sculptures are often composed of organic and geometric shapes . Materials are granite , bronze and marble . In many of the works bodyparts , obelisks or balls are breaking out from the interior of the massive forms , or perhaps they are restrained .
The dynamic and enigmatic emission gives the impression that the sculptures are under constant transformation.
Jens Flemming Sorensen’s works can be seen in a number of museums in Denmark and in Sweden ,Italy and The Netherlands.
I have admired a couple of his works in the park of Marselisborg castle as well as a fountain in front of the abbey church in Aarhus .
In the workshop you can see the fountain and a sculpture which is part of a fountain in front of the abbey church in Aarhus city.

Hello Dorte,
A beautiful close-up of this lovely fountain. I like the framing and the feeling of being able to put a hand out and touch the lady's head. Very good natural tones and superb tones.

Hallo Dorte!
A very inventive, interesting, beautiful and - I think - a bit romantic work of art. I also like it. You caught it in a wonderful gentle light. The few autumn leaves here are nice colourful additions.
Greetings from a wonderful autumn day! Have a nice weekend!

Hi Dorte,
You are very artistic minded in your last photos. But I like it.
Not easy to manage the light with such a subject, but you did it very well.
Pretty sunday

Hello Dorte,
the textures of the bronze are excellent. The perspective and depth of field are very good here. You got right down into the thick of it all to get this photo just righ. Focus of the foreground is very sharp indeed.
Regards.

Hi Dorte. A dreamy creation that seems to get more beautiful as it ages. The colours are lovely and varied and I like how the forms catch the light. Regards and thanks for sharing your favourite artist with us. Klaudio.

Hello Dorte,
Fascinating sculptural technique, and a highly informative note. The colors certainly are organic. I have seen similar sculture before, most likely it was also Jens Flemming Sorensen's creation. Very good composition, perspective, colors and resolution.
Warm regard and have a good weekend,
