Inside the Faroe Islands
My 2nd day on the islands offered some better weather and it was a pleasure having a 2 hrs boat trip along the coast from the village Vestmanna.
Like here where we backed into a big cavern under some very huge cliffs along the coast. Looking out we could see this other small boat where there was some hunters out to shoot Puffins (which is served all over the Faroe Islands...).

Unfortunately this was to be my last day on the islands. The originally planned 3,5 days there was reduced to 1,5 days due too delays in departure from Bergen (12 hrs late) and departure from Thorshavn 24 hrs before schedule. Reason: Bad weather with strong gale and storm according to the ferry company.

Lovely place and composition too , great pov and light management too , the rocks make a perfect frame to your shot , and the boats inclusion works very well , compliments.

Hi Jack, This shot caught my eye by the contrasting light & the beautiful POV through the opening of this cave, good sharp quality & a lovely sky, also the little boat is perfectly positioned, kind regards Wilson.

Hello Jack,

Une bonne idée que d'avoir saisi cette scène depuis le pont d'un bateau. L'expo est bien gérée et cela permet d'obtenir de très bons niveaux de détails sur les parois rocheuses.
Très bien vu.

Good use of the natural rock arch to frame the distant seascape, with a nice patch of lighting on the the right wall. Superb colour & sharpness. Tfs!
