Photographer's Note
Yet another typical faroese house with grassy roof. This one is from Kirkjubøur village. Kirkjubøur is one of the oldest villages in the Faroes. A legend says that it was the place where the first settlers - irish monks - arrived in Faroe Islands in 6th century.

I like this kind of hoeses. The contrast and colors are perfect, the photo reproduces the humidity of these islands very good. It's a pity that the dog lokks in the other direction.
