Photographer’s Note

I had this shot in my rather large folder of pictures from my trip to Iceland and the Faroe Islands. I thought it was kinda nice, but I couldn't find a good way to work on it, to make it better. And then it sort of hit me: crop the sky and the water out of the frame.

This is the result. Although it certainly isn't my best shot, I find it has the interresting characteristic of being strangely similar to some of those "wall" shots you can see around: a plain wall with a window and a dog, or a plain wall with scratches and a old ornamented door, etc.

This is the side "wall" of Kaldbaksfjørður, about 15 minutes' drive north of Tórshavn, in the Faroe Islands.

Hope you like it!
