Photographer’s Note

....With this photo I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year !
I know I have been away for some time . My working life has made a U turn this fall, and it took quite a lot of energy ! I am now in a new and better job - strange to be a student after 34 years of being the "expert" !
Though this photo was taken a month ago , this is just about all the winter mood I can present . Every year we wish for a white Christmas , but we have had a white Christmas only 7 times over the past 100 years !
Last time was in 1995 !!
The photo was taken just after sunset , and just like the day is ending, so is 2007 . Thanks to all who have visited my site during 2007 . I will be back in 2008 - hopefully with photos of snow covered landscapes - and in just 8 weeks of something completely different !! :o)

Good to see "dorte_s_t" again on TE! You show us a really beautiful view here. These clouds are gorgeous, this view is interesting and this wideness is always again impressive for a landlubber like me.
I'm glad that you are in a new profession and I wish you all the best concerning this!!!

Hi Dorte. So nice to hear from you again, especially at this time of the year. I wish you a happy holiday season and a rewarding 2008, one without too many hassles. Also, enjoy your trip and come back with lots of great photos. If you haven't purchased a CPL try to, as it does let you have some control over the sky and water. Nice, gentle colours in this photo and a lovely sense of depth. Wishing you all the best. Klaudio.

I like the composition with the diagonal net, but I'm still wondering... some sort of fishtrap?

A very beautiful view over the sea with lovely light conditions. The colours in the sky are also nice and the net is well placed diagonally in the composition. Well done!

Belle photo de ce coucher de soleil qui donne une belle luminosité au loin dans ces nuages, les filets ainsi en longueur amène notre regard vers ce coucher de soleil. Bien réalisé.

Hello Dorte,
A simple but very effective composition with a great tranquillity about it. The fishing nets lead the eyes inexorably out to sea and that beautiful multi-toned sky. Very good light and tones throughout with super clarity. Happy Christmas to you and yours!

This one is really good, having a great mood of tranquility under an evening sky. Very nicely composed with the rocks in the foreground and the horizon well placed.
