Photographer’s Note
I found this link - Monty Phyton Cow Tossing Machine.
This heavy medieval artillery can be found at Sundhøj – at Lolland. The big one loaded with round “Chain gang” while the smaller must be prepared by the help of a group of volunteers from the crowd of tourist (behind me).
In the middle-aged these catapults was used to bombardment of cities with stone and other nasty objects – such as dead (rotten) animals – biological warfare an old business.
Please learn more here where a movie showing a shot can be found – or this photo showing the movement in one shot.
Second note: Ok - a bit strange title, but I decided to qualify for the theme of Richard.
Those devices was acually used to insult the enermy as well - I will tell more in a later post.

Ha ha Jeppe, what a fantastic find. Why don't you call 'I fart in you face' or something from the exchange of insults, and put it in the theme :-)

Hi Jeppe,
Very educating picture and info. You must be a teacher. And a good and interesting photo too.
Are all those children waiting for their turn to be shoot away?

Heavy medieval artillery for heavy Monthy's Humor is a very good idea. I like the composition whith a nice position or the artillery and the costumed guide. Its sharp, clear and from a very good quality according to the grey sky.
TU for this evocation and for showing these.
I like it

Hi Jeppe
Excellent graphism & silhouettes of the catapult. I've read that can of the dead animals had died from infectious diseases easily passed on to humans. A lucky shot could contaminate the city water supply, too. Good note & shot!
