Just a thin crust of ice in the morning light. A difference in levels, maybe due to freezing at different times. The difference in height is about 5 mm, the light and smooth texture does the rest.
Turned B&W and boosted levels and contrast a bit. Gave it cold colorcast.

Aaaah Ebbe photographying ice... I'll never forget your "curved edge" ;-)
Soooo graphic, as usual. Nature creates such beautiful textures, and fortunately you're here when this happens ;-)

Ah, as I mention before, when it comes to ice, you have no competition.
A wonderful cold graphic image, so simple but so special and well composed. A real artwork, Ebbe.

Well spotted piece of natural graphism Ebbe, and very well framed for the compo.

A shining, glossy B&W, the many lines present on the ice surface are fascinating. The heavy one gives the picture its structure.

Great graphic artwork with ice and your winter nature. Possible also a "TL" result if you are a member of this brother "WEB".
Great composition, not abstract but nature makes also the good shot with the right person!
Thanks for sharing your excelent work and insight!

Beautiful picture Ebbe. So relaxing. These simple forms and texture are very pleasing. Was not sure about the the thin white line of the frame but i thibk iy eventually works well. regards, michel.

Minimalistic and very aesthetic image. Simplicity is the word, and you've caught well the beauty of the thin ice, and the pattern created. Now it doesn't really loolk like b&w to me. It seems deep blue towards grey. Nice.

Minimalistic and beautiful. Nice patterns on the ice. Well seen and done!

Good work this one, Ebbe.
You managed to overcome all problems that may occur during shooting such a demanding subject.
Maybe a bit oversharpened on some spots (edges), but not your fault; as we all know it has to do with compressing down to 200KB limit.

Superb pic, Ebbe !
Splitted in two parts, same textures, same colours, nice seen !

Fantastik, Ebbe. Artwork.... 'Hurried' to my favs ;-)
Seems to be a quiet situation, but at closer look ... the textures... everything is in motion

Very nice art picture. The line is clear and cut the picture in two part.
Well done Ebbe.

Excellent cold picture again, Ebbe. Very graphic with superb smoothness and curves, but still giving place to some roughness on some spots. The gradually changing grey getting lighter towards the top of the picture is very attractive in combination with the curved line that is light in the bottom part and dark in the upper part. Great!

Hi Ebbe, beautiful curves and textures in the picture, I like the different directions of the lines in the ice, and the difference in thickness.
It really looks like natural colours this way, a bit blueish

The simplicity in this shot- truly makes it great. Well spotted and captured mate.

Hi Ebbe. A fine, very fine graphic shot. That's very well seen and excellent composed. Simple in the idea, but your perfect PP reinforces all aspects of that excellent picture. A very fine work you made here. Congrats.

Wonderful graphism Ebbe, done with your usual care for detail. That meandering line is delightful, made more so by the fine variations in the texture of the ice. I know this thin ice, having taken great delight in breaking it as a boy walking to school and encountering it on small puddles of standing water. Fine capture here. You are being very creative in finding subjects during your winter season. I'm enjoying what you bring to the board.

A very inspirational shot all spot on the texturing in the ice and especially that wonderful curve, good spotted and very well balanced gradually light/shadow.
A fine capture Ebbe.

Un tableau que ne renierait pas un grand peintre. Les courbes sont remarquables et ces tons lumineux ardoise les mettent en valeur.

You have surely a your own typical style and the more anonymous the subjects are, the best shots you take. I love it!
This is only one example of like a crust of ice can became a beautiful photo. Compliments!
