Photographer's Note

When Darren announced the themes for the Scavenger Hunt I was sure that #1 "a yellow car" should be easy, the Copenhagen busses are yellow all over, they _are_ a kind of car, just a bit large, and they are even a characteristic part of the cityscape and thereby TOS-kosher. Now, dozens of bus-shots later, I realise that chatching an interesting photo of a bus ain't that easy.
But here we see a local woman somewhat color-coded with the bus, and in the background a glimpse of the town-hall whose tower incidentaly is the tallest building of Copenhagen. The busses are a sharp piece of graphics moving around the city.

Good capture Torben! You almost got a graphical image with your framing. Good composition and a good effort for the Scavenger :)

Really the yellow withe the Gray is 2 perfect colors and you farm it with a very nice way , i like the yellow triangle up the finger of this lady it add nice touch .. well done

And the weather was even better today, I just came back from Lyngby. Tight schedule, should have told you if not.

The picture with the orange toned yellow city bus, blonde girl and modernistic colorless architecture is so very Danish. The contrast between the girl and the bus is funny, the hard sun makes it look allmost like a flash picture. I like the yellow on top of the pole, it is a nice repetition of the bus.

You really are the street photographer par excellence, Torben. I will have to watch my back next time I come home. But your choice of subjects never fail (so no danger that you will shoot me)- or rather I suppose you are extremely good at sorting through hundreds of shots and picking out the best.

torben, please excuse me, but imho, it´s too beautiful and it looks almost posed...
it´s sharpen and clean though, and the combination of colors is superb.
great shot.
guess i must get used to your spring mood ;)

I had the same thing in mind as Isabelle, First thought it was posed. The lines, shapes, positions are all incredible here.

Looks also like you're going more and more into Greg's square format. Are you shooting with the square in mind or does it simply happen to be better like that at post-processing stage? Unless you have been shooting mostly vertical it could look pretty different in 2/3 format.

you have a very good eye Torben...I like your dry looking and in fact boiling pictures very much...she makes it boiling and you caught her...I think...
