Photographer’s Note
Børsen
During my walk on the little island of Slotsholmen in the centre of Copenhagen, I found this mirror near Børsen, the Stock Exchange, of which I told you something in my last post.
Through this mirror you can see the street Børsgade with in the background Børsen.
Børsen is built between 1620 and 1640 by King Christian IV as a market place. It is one of the oldest buildings in the city. It was designed by the Dutch architects Lorents and Hans van Steenwinckel in Dutch Renaissance-style, the same architects and style as Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød.
The building is best known for its tower, Dragespiret (the Dragon Steeple), representing four dragon tails intertwining. Nowadays the building is the office of the Danish Chamber of Commerce.
The tower you can see a bit of in the background is the one of Vor Frelsers Kirke (Church of Our Saviour) in Christianshavn.
I hope you like this picture of Børsen!

I see you are following in your Dad's footsteps with a reflection shot. Very well done with the details we can see. At first I thought it was a shame the mirror's frame was broken, but now I feel it is adding something to the image.

Hi Lars - interesting idea, remids me of your father's shot of a car reflection, the square format works well with the compo.

Bonsoir Lars,

Hi Lars, I like the interesting twist view of the city together with the photographer himself. A nice abstract impression of the city life with the traffic, the street, and the buildings around. Good contrast out from this facing the bright sunlight.

Hej Lars!
Very well seen and photographed photo, with that 'fish eye' effect.
I see a lot of parking mirrors but never had thought of photographing their reflection.
Unusual but very attractive image Lars.

Hallo Lars,
Heerlijke spiegeling.

Hi Lars,
A very effective reflection shot. Because the mirror is so unique, it adds to the impact of the scene reflected. The cyclists enhance. The natural framing provided by the area around the mirror is perfect. Very well done, Lars.

Bonsoir Lars

Interesting contrast between the colors on the sign and the ones in the mirror. A kind of "natural" fish-eye shot.

Curious and different picture, Lars; as usual a very good and elucidative note, but also a nice view of that street!

Hej Lars
Glimrende
Hälsningar

Hello Lars, I guess this is an alternative to a wide angled lens! Nice perspective and I like your self portrait at the bottom. The edge of the mirror frames the scene well.

A bautifull reflexion exercize. Seing the artist in the bottom of the mirror is amusing but the interest comes from the rather good result in the mirror : the landscape with the little church is rather clear (with of course some optical distorsions).
All the best,
Emmanuel
