Photographer’s Note
Tillykke med fødselsdagen!
I return to my old camera and to Denmark, but only for one day, cause it's a special day: the birthday of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and this picture shows the Royal Palace Amalienborg in Copenhagen.
Margrethe Alexandrine Þorhildur Ingrid, Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark was born on 16 April 1940 at this palace, Amalienborg as the daughter of King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid, born Princess of Sweden.
On 10 June 1967, she married Henri Marie Jean André Count of Laborde de Monpezat, who became after the marriage HRH Prince Henrik of Denmark. She has two sons, HRH Crown Prince Frederik André Henrik Christian, married with Mary Donaldson in 2004, and HRH Prince Joachim Holger Waldemar Christian.
On 14 January 1972 she became Queen of Denmark after her father's death.
Her motto is: "God’s help, the love of The People, Denmark’s strength".
More information about Queen Margrethe here.
Information about the palace can be found here.
I know the quality isn't that good, but I don't have another picture of the palace or another royal place in Denmark, but I just wanted to celebrate the birthday of Dronning Margrethe II.
I tried to get the best out of this picture and I added a frame in the Danish colours.
Hope you celebrate the Queen's birthday with me and that you like this picture!

Hi Lars,
Die Skandinaviërs geven ook altijd punten aan elkaar. Of het nu het songfestival is of een jarige koningin. Je vergeet 30 april toch niet?
groet Rob

Hi Lars, It is nice to have a special photo tribute to her Majesty. Yeah, the photo from your new camera has a better quality, in comparison. The composition and the POV here is excellent. It is quite clear and nice contrast. It is a very nice photo.

Hi Lars! I like your POV and framing of the shot. I like the presence of the people to show how large this place is. Very nice work Lars. If you see the queen please tell her happy birthday for me, thanks!!

Hi Lars,
Something different - this shot is more for feeling and message rather than technical perfection. Anyhow, I still love the repetition of the windows and the colour of this building. Thanks and a pleasant weekend.

Gefeliciteerd! Leuk plan om deze foto the posten voor Margrietjes verjaardag. Beetje donkere foto, maar wel mooie dreigende wolken op de achtergrond.

Oh glad you remembered our beloved Queen's birthday - A fine photo you posted - If you been there on the day there would have been a lot of people showing the flag and cherring a hurra for Magrethe at the balcony - thanks Lars.

Yes, is difficult to see any thing extraordinary in this picture: is unsharp, bad ballanced, ordinary borring. Even the contrast and saturation you manipulated in photoshop has not made it better...But the text you write (which is tooken from internet websides)is interesting.
I'm shure the danes will apreciate your act, they are always very glad when someone arround the world notice that Denmark exists.
Thanks for sharing this wonderfull experience.
