Photographer's Note
This is a picture of the historic open air Pantomime Theatre in Copenhagen's famous amusement park, the Tivoli Gardens. The park opened in 1843, but this Chinese style stage was built in 1873. The stage is behind the peacock tail curtain, which folds during performances. As the name suggest the teatre's repertoire include a mixture of traditional pantomimes. This is an old picture, but as I can see from pictures on the Internet it still looks the same.
