Lady in Red (for Gunnar) Photo

... with special respect for Gunnar (saxo042)!

I must admit: before becoming a TE member I used to miss "red elements" when taking photos... in most cases I simply did not notice them.
But now, for some inexplicable reason, I see them everyhwere :)

This photo does not look sharp enough because it was taken through the window of Café Norden (a photo of which you can see here) while I was eating lasagne.

I saw this lady in red impatiently walking to and fro... she was waiting for someone who came some 10 minutes later, and they left together.

I took a few photos of which I thought to choose this one as it shows both the lady and the surroundings.

Now you have a notion of:

1) the cleanness of the window glass in the cafe ;)
2) weather/lighting conditions (as I have already mentioned earlier, they were incredible: with deep dark cold bluish shadows and brightly sunlit objects as a contrast - everywhere!)

How could you miss the red before TE, never seen a soviet flag ??? Such a nice and eye catching color, just a few red pixels make an image shine, this lady had a very nice coat !

ciao Elena,
the red colour in a photo is the colour that more captured the eyes.
I like in this photo, surelly, the red womand but also the womand behind, "black and red"!! :-)

Very rare, but this time you were stooping low or lying on the floor? Did you wear a skirt?

A good title and this is a great view of the street scenery.

I am beginning to wonder if you were not a spy or detective on a mission to do surveillance on this girl? If not, you can be a good detector!

Hi Elena,
I am really glad that you also have discovered this method to bring an eye catcher into the picture! I really like this picture, not only on account of the reference to myself! This is a very good photo in many other ways too, I also like the off centre composition and perspective along this famous street, which seems quite desterted on this winter day. You should see it in the middle of summer!

dear Elena,
a shining red flower in the silver gray city.
also shining blue reflection on the wet road.
two colors make enough colorful scene in the mild light and shadow space.
we can see the Lady in Black too, just behind red lady,
"red and black" is always meaningful of course.
then the fountain knows those stories.

Hello Elena, I can not see any evidence that this was taken looking through a glass window,it is as sharp as it should be. My eye automatically goes to the young lady in red being bright but I also find that my attention is drawn to the other girl and the fountain. All in all an interesting street scene, very well captured.

Hi Elena,
The lady in red is nice detail here, but what makes the photo really attractive is the beautiful low light, the bluish shadows and the very good clarity. One indeed could not guess the photo is shot through a window. Good composition and perspective as well. Congratulations!

Hi Elena,
I like her fashion, long sleeves and thick fabrics are not popular here in my homecity, attractive with her reddish clothes standing in the middle of walking space, nice old architectures too, sunlight, shading and blue sky make the photo more attractive, distinct photo, well done.
