Photographer’s Note
The last weekend wasn’t very sunny; nevertheless did I bring my camera with to an art exhibition on an old manor. The gallery newly opened in a barn of the Manor and besides the artwork was I pleased to see the walls. There has been a tradition in Denmark of using fieldstones, for the constructions of manor barns – a quite expensive way of building, not used anymore.
When I saw the house end (5x8 meters) couldn’t I resist taking a photo (Even I had to overlook a “don’t pass sign”). I wasn’t expecting very much of the photo “Grey wall on a grey day”, but after giving the photo normal settings for contrast light and colour saturation (see Here) did I notice the interesting colours of the stones.
Just for fun did I try some more levels with strong saturation (posted here for comments) and a very strong colour saturation – which I posted here.
Most people have tried to find a beautiful coloured, wet stone the beach, taking it home, only to find out that the colours faint when it dries. I guess the colour saturation makes the stones “wet”.
Ups - may be I overlooked some wood in the upper left corner -too bad :(

Uh, I love this shot, Jeppe! The mozaic pattern of the stones together with pastel colours make this capture intriguing, yet calm and resting!
The subject here is the pattern, so I would (if I may suggest) decide in favour of cropping that little bit in the upper left corner.
All together, I'm very pleased to see the results of your editing and thank you not only 4 the pic but 4 the note as well!
Good luck!

Very interesting pavement composed with the coloured stones. Seems like an art mosaic. Very sharp and clear picture.

great colors and texture. I looks like a jeweler's box of precious stones very pretty.

I like the highly coloured saturation version even better! Also because of the tighter cropping. Great idea, nice result.

Nice shot. I thought the colours were a little light. Your workshops are much better. Double smiley for that.
Very nice.

J'appellerais ça une mosaïque de pierre bien représenter en couleurs et en détails.
On voit ce petit coin vert en haut a gauche qui fini par distrayer un peut mais bon je ne vais pas titiller.
Bravo Jeppe.

Hm, I don't know how I missed this one. It really is great with these fine stone patterns and colours! It is fantastic how such a simple sight can come out as an outstanding picture...suppose the photographer has some role..:-D Excellent Jeppe!
