Photographer’s Note
But please come back :-) - I noticed a fine photo from jrj (Jack) showing "nothing" and remembered this photo taken on the Danish island Langeland (Long island) near a place called Kjeldsnor. I beleive this ferry sails the same route that Jack tried out - but I can see from the note that his vessel called Fantasy.
Second note - Thanks Jack - I got my glasses on now ;-)
Extra photo here.
Sorry - I can't find much time for TE these days - too busy elsewhere.

Hi Jeppe. A very quick reaction to Jack's latest post with this photo of the ferry. Your low shooting angle even makes something out of the somewhat uninspiring foreground, and compo-wise it is nice that the ferry has some space at the left to go into. Simple, but nice.

Hi Jeppe
This is in fact the Fantasy. Look at the name the the left COLOR FANTASY (just a slip of me not using the whole name). Brand new in late 2004. Good thing you had this shot in your portfolio - I'll include it later in a little theme of this 'minicruise'. Good shot with the inclusion of the land there.

Very good, a bit hazy but that helps to create a maritime athmosphere. Good POV, the boat seems to go over land.

Ahah! Well seen Jeppe. A funny title for a funny photograph. These huge monsters of the seas are awful IMO. I guess I would never take a cruise in one of those even if it was a gift, although I love the sea and almost any floating means of transportation.

Hi Jeppe, Your special angle shooting this photo created a feeling of the cruise ship is moving on the top of the grassland. A nice contrast to make the photo divided into two monotone sections, the light blue one and dark green one, yet, they combined seamlessly. An excellent shot.

Hi Jeppe,
The perspective is strange in this one. The haze makes the ship look very distant, but it's so big that it must be close. I guess some "tele-flattening" has increased that effect.

Hi Jeppe,
Yes, If you want to earn a big cruise on this ship there is less time free for TE. Must sail to the Caribbean’s, probably the former Danish Antilles (St Croix).

Hi Jeppe! For some reason this POV makes me laugh a little. I guess the fact that we can't actually see any of the water might have something to do with it. Fine colors and composition Jeppe!!

very well on its road for the ferry and a strong fore ground to give a nice vieuw from it, just like if it were on the grass.

Your compsoition is really good and funny.
We could think that this ferry is on the road.
Very well managed.

Hi Jeppe.
It's a superb shot you present here. The DOF is amazing and it gives to your picture a curious athmosphere both continental and marine. Nice light and contrast and beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing !

A nice little Norwegian boat you show us, and it actually looks like it's on the road or at least land.
As usual a well taken pic from you Jeppe

Hej Jeppe,
Nice photo. A ship. That is something different. I find it very original. I like the composition because the ship is a bit more to the right.

Hi Jeppe!
Your low pov really give the illusion that this ferry hit´s the road!
A good idea-well realized.

Interesting shot, Jeppe! Looks like the ship is travelling on land. Creative low POV. I agree with the others, it looks a little bit hazy. But overall, it's a beautiful and simple compo. rgds.

Hi Jeppe,
The dark foreground give a very nice contrast against the blue colour tones on the background, but the lovely boat is the a real eyes catcher.
Thanks for posting,
John.

I like your title, Jeppe, and love this new type of vehicle;-)
I wouldn't like to meet this one on the road. Great catch.

Fun image Jeppe. I love the optical illusion here, even if diminished by the haze of distance. Love it!

I will be on a Colorline boat in June when I will go to Norway. I will also need to cross Denmark by car as I will go on it at Hirtshals. Although, I will not be in the Fantasy.
Anyway, it's a nice composition and now I want to be there ;)
