Blue Swans in Ice Photo

Photographer’s Note

Those two swans have rested for the night in a little pond at a floated field (this photo) - but during the night was the water turned in to ice and the they was captured - too bad.

But don't worry I cheked later that day, they was free again.

Oh great winterpicture!
I like the ice, and the texture of the ice and the subtile reflections on the ice..

I think that I would crop a bit more of the top, so that we only see ice and two swanes... but I know that that is something very personal.

The rest of the picture is just fabulous!

What a picture of this swans in the cold water, I like well of the blue colour tints, also the shadows of the swans in the ice.

Swans are in at the moment. There are several others swans posted lately. I actually took yesterday some pictures of them myself. White swans on a very dark water surface. Not so special as your picture. The astonishing blue backlight, the large ice crystal in front of the swan. Great winter scene.

A beautiful winter scene you found, Jeppe. The blueish tones obviously enhance the feeling of cold very well, as does the subtle light. Glad to learn they were free again a little later.

Hello Jeppe, A very nice light and mood you caught here. I particulary like the overall blue cast as it conveys that cold but also quiet ambiance very well. Very nicely done.
