Photographer’s Note
This typical Danish village church was built around 1200 (800 years old). In the first centuries it was also a shelter for the citizens in bad times, when enemies ravaged the country.
In the Tower is the Bell that formerly was used to gather people, and still is used to mark a service.
The Black metal T's, which can be seen on the Tower, are "Wall ties". Two T's on opposite walls are connected with an iron bar, in order to prevent the walls from falling apart. Every generation during the centuries has put great efforts to preserve their inheritance and I would guess the Roof has been renewed several times, as with the Interior. The Walls are over 1 meter tick and consist mostly of stones found in the fields (note the rough surfaces) and those walls have stood since it was built.

Lovelly colorfull picture. I specially like the contrast between the white church and the so-deep sky and grass tones. It's nice to think it is 800 years old. Could have been perfectly built a few years ago. I would like to know what are those little black objects at the highest building. I would dare to say that the grave at the foreground bothers me a little but...never mind! It's perfect this way. Great job.

Very nice perspective of the church with very nice colors. The sky seems to have some noise. Thanks for the feedback, always interesting.

There si a verry nice colour depth in this photo anf you have made a beautifull picture of a simple church. It is axtuallt the simpicity that makes it beautifull i think.
to answer mathiasmo's questions. I think the black litle object are decorative ornaments made of iron. They are quit common on old buildnings and especially churches in Scandinavia. I'm not sure if they have any religous meaning. The shape they have on this picture is rather common. Simple but nice i think.

Nice capture of a typical Danish village church, quite representative of its kind. Two things I'd like to point out which might be of interest to non-Danes:
The Danish name for the wall ties is - in direct translation - "wall anchors". With a bit of imagination you might picture instead of T-shapes the little cast iron "anchors" keeping the walls in place ;-)
Another thing which can be clearly seen in this picture is, that the church is situated on a hill. This is also typical of especially the oldest Danish churches. And the reason for this is, that the churches back then were often constructed on locations where there had formerly been other places of worship - from the heathen era. The vikings preferred to have their places of worship on high ground, maybe a remnant form still older times when the most prominent human constructions were the burial mounds, and possibly also because this offered a good vantage point with a good view of the surroundings in case of danger. The new christians found it an effective way of blotting out the old faith to take over their places of worship and turn them christian by building churches on the exact same spots.

Exellent composition. You have chosen the right dimension. Seems like it shoted in 3D projection. Beautiful combination of vivid colours. The sky it's so clear. Really good shot Jeppe.

Jeppe, you really are a magician with colours. Or I don't visit the old country on the right days. And even when my eye rarely perceives this kind of colour-splendour, my camera seems unwilling to catch them all.
I will check what equipment you have to discover your secret.

Joli jeu de quatre couleurs, cadrage et perspective, utilisant un peu les lignes de fuite, l'aspect reposant et calme du lieu est renforcé par la présence de ce petit cimetière à l'avant plan.
