Photographer’s Note
Ever since I saw the tugboats from Andrew (Orme) and Maria (Sunny) I be wanting to show a similar sight from my island Fyn.
This photo was taken on the way from Svendborg (on the southern of Fyn) to Aeroe. I was surprised to find six tugboats, since the harbour not that big.
The mill in the background, The Christians-mill, not in use anymore but servers as seamark and memory of older times.
Second note: The building in the rear right corner actully the policestation and yellow building (an old warehouse) now use for offices.
The big white building used to be a grain silo - but is now turned into (expensive) appartments.
You can see the same place on a 360 deg panorame here

Nice view of these tugboats. I like the green of them. It is the only part of the picture that is green so this make them special.
Well done Jeppe.

Wow, a lot of things to see in this one, Jeppe! The diagonal row of tugboats in the foreground, the harbor scenery, the distinctive buildings, and even a windmill in the upper left corner. Very nice how the view gets hazier in an ever so subtle way towards the background. The colors are great, too. Beautiful shot.

Ha, I like this! A harbour brimful of lovely details and a profound DOF. The centrestage escadron of tugs really steals the show - the tugs are all different yet all the same. Very lively & colourful composition - a real feast for the eyes. Very fine work, Jeppe!

Beautiful shot of your island Jeppe. I like the boats alot (always had a thing about water), but I'm quite intrigued by the windmill, and glad you told us about it in your note. The boats looks very well maintained - actually, the whole area does! Very well done!

I always like those tugboats, Jeppe, there is something very touchywith their ugliness, their power and their effiecency. Your shot is so busy and interesting, so many details to exploere. Beautiful.

The green, yelow and red occupy their distinctive space in the frame. For that reason, the picture, though busy, looks very relaxing and well-composed. Good work.

Very nice colors and lighting. The depth is great with this fog and the buildings moving farther back one over another. It looks very full of energy and life here with the boats and the density of the town from this point of view. And the tugboats are like a little armada here ready for battle. Nicely seen and photographed.

That's an excellent composition! The boats lead in a nice diagonal, with bright green/white colours. The yellow facade leads us to the mill in background. And in between all those houses with reddish roofs and in a hazy mood. Yes, a beautiful one, very well composed. Congratulations Jeppe!

Wow, Jeppe, you have the eye for great scenes, I still have not rated yesterday's cattle ferry, and now here's the next one.
Very good and clear view on this harbour, the botes are nicely tied up, watign for their next tug. The view further on to the city is great, wile gradually gettign hazier.
Great one.

Wow! These tugboats set in neat rows are so captivating, Jeppe! :-) Very colourful image with a lot of details to enjoy and at the same time you managed very well to keep the tugboats as main subject. There is a lot of depth in the composition and I like how the wind mill in background is staying so proud on top of it all. ;-) Very good job!

Flot med møllen i hoizonten, og som sædvanlight, lys - kontrast og farver i orden.

A powerful school of tugs you have here very busy but a good PJ shot of the harbour. Your focus is just a bit too soft to really add puch to the whole image, but I think it is the camera.

True, alot of details, maybe abit to many for the rather small TE format, it's hard to make out everything. I like the tugboats, they are cute in a way (if you can use that very american word about ships used for hard work...? ;o).
I think the yellow house sort of works as an arrow to point ones eye towards that old mill, so in a way that becomes the main focal point for me, and I like that. Good shot Jeppe.

I'm back from a trip, so some catching up to do. This caught my eye most from your recent ones. The repitition in the tugs anchors the rest of the image. Very nice overall effect, which looks a bit like lego land in its clean prettiness.

Belle perspective portuaire rendue plus imposante par l'effet téléobjectif. (il me semble)
