Photographer’s Note
This will be the first post with my new investment – a Lumix FZ50. It’s hard to understand for non photographers (read family) why a person with five digital cameras needs a sixth ;-)
I still happy with my Canon EOS 20D and its excellent for fast shots but fails on other points:
It makes relative much noise when shooting – hard to get a “silent” photo.
I have to look through the viewer in order to get a photo (or shot and hope)
What I see through the viewer, not always what I gets.
Its expensive to buy a 1x .. 21.4x optical zoom lens for the EOS 20D (can’t be bought for the price of a FZ50)
I spotted 6 handball players making a formation to honour a fresh marriage couple – they where standing in front of city hall in Svendborg (married at a registry office) and I guess the bride a former handball player or a the bridegroom could be their coach.
They also got the obligatory rice to wish them fertility.

Hello Jeppe,
It's good idea to buy a new camera. I'm still on second but collecting money for third one. Your result is excellent with your new toy as we saw here with clearly visible rice's on victim's back too ;) Color and details very well framed. Happiness for the happy couple. Congratulations.
Best Regards,
Parbo

Hi Jeppe. Congrats on your new investment, and a nice first upload with this candid photo of the newlyweds. Well timed to have the split second when the rice is in mid-air and just hitting the couple. The handball girls posing on the stairs seem equally amused. A bit of clutter with the foreground elements but given the situation and the fact that you had to be quick, you managed a good result. Greetings from the U.S.

Hi Jeppe,
Certainly captured at the decisive moment. I like your framing and cropping here to deliver high impact. The varying expressions and body positions of the different people are fascinating. Good clarity of detail, with the colourful vehicle providing balance. I know what you mean about the 20D, even though it is billed as being great for noise, I also question that reputation. A great capture, Jeppe.

Good dynamnic connections between the subjects here, and interesting separation of the ringers. Since you've cropped their feet, I might have taken it higher to loose the sign.

Hej Jeppe,
Godt billede hvor du har fanget dette bryllup med håndboldholdet på trappen i baggrunden. Du har også fanget risen godt, lige da det blev kastet. Flot arbejde!
Hilsen,
Lars

Man your shot makes me feel home, and I just read your info, so you know the shutter speed and all the technical things better than most of the photographers put together.
Rice for fertility!!!! an Indian version, and when the bride leaves for the house of her groom we have a similar ceremony.
Greattttt shot Jeppe. I like the movement of the guys in the left and the welcome posture by the handball players on the right.
The driver of the car seems to be running away from the rice......
and if I were you I was to shoot this picture in B&W also and post it in B&W too.....just a personal opinion of mine...because of obvious reason.
I must admit, the colours are outstanding and life is wonderful because we have so many colours.
A fantastic shot.
See you again,
Rajeev
