Photographer’s Note
I spotted a fleet of floaters (read: 50 big old American cars) – lots of beauties from the 50ies and 60ies mostly. Among them was a Fleetwood (Cadillac) car with extreme tail wings – sorry I’m not an expert of which year this could be from and I wasn’t able to find information.
Now why this a sign of spring – The car owners, all members of the same club, of course very nervous for there investment and its only in good weather they allowed to see the sunlight.
I’m not sure if all agree but I find this to be ultimate Kitsch for the hunt.
Thanks Fred - I guess your right - EXTRA PHOTO HERE

Very nicely cleaned up car; look at all that pollished chrome! It's reflecting the background. Must admit that my car isn't washed like that... Anyway, I agree with your remark that it is good kitsch.

Beautiful prerecording and always spectacular. Brilliance radiates there of finished. If it is not my hobby he has been made very beautiful.

I like these nostalgic oldies with the tailwimgs and the shiny nickel parts, the aerodynamic backlights and the elegant design. A very nice catch, Jeppe. Beautiful car, I wish that I had one of them..

Hi Jeppe !
Very nice entry for the Hunt, with beautiful colours and nice reflections. The car must have been cleaned for hours !
Since I arrived here in Sweden I found that sooo many cars like this were here. Only in case of beautiful weather, as you said. Seems to be the same think in Denmark and Norway. But why this ?! In Finland I don't think they're that many ...
Cheers, Youssef.

This cadillac fleetwood is apparently from 1959 according to this site.
Anyway, it's a very good framing of this wonderful car and the colors are very nice too. I like also to see thise reflections. Well done, Jeppe!

Now I understand the title and why you think it is a sing of the spring;) Alternative link to the spring, but original thought.
Very nice and sharp close-up of this old car. I like the shiny elements. Photo with excelent quality.

Hi Jeppe,
Beautiful picture and an extra point for the WS. It's a pity I couldn't find the photographer in the reflection. And maybe it's Kitsch, but it gives you an excellent picture.

Hej Jeppe,
Jeg synes sådanne biler er nu ikke særlig smukke, men det er smag og behag.
Men dit billede af bilen er i hvert fald meget flot og et spændende tegn på foråret! :-D
Bedste hilsner,
Lars

Jep,
Beautiful shot! My best guess would be either 1959 or 60 on this Caddy. They were built like a tank in those days, lol!
Thanks for sharing and God's best!

"My baby drove up in a brand new cadillac" maybe this was the one the song's all about. Anyway it's a great tail with a lot of very polished chrome. Your lens cauhgt it well. A little pity the doesn't painted it pink tho.
Well done as usual Jeppe

I think, when I see these wings, it could fly too:-))
We had an oldtimer-rally two weeks ago, always nice to see the "real" cars instead of the all-the-same-style these days.
Great shot with beautiful details, a fine contribution, thanks for sharing, Jeppe !

Hi Jeppe, a fine detail of the grand old car and what a shiny ensemble made by the metail and chrome pieces. Also the distinctive shapes of the car's design are well conveyed and vaguely reminiscent of a rocket. I fail to spot you in the reflection, so I either (a) need to have my eyes examined, or (b) you did a very clever job with the angling here. I hope it is (b) :-)

I agree, but its a nice shot, and it again reminds us that it now is spring. Of course we knew that since the bonfire last Saturday marks the beginning of the spring.
Some nice reflections - you worked very hard on your car this year!
Thanks,
Magnus

Hej Jeppe

Hej Jeppe,
I'm always amazed by these beautiful american oldies, some kind of golden age in car history, the reflection on the chroes are superb, even the right one provides a nice perspective. Just turn 180° for the next shot ;-))
Have a nice day,

Hi Jeppe. It's strange to think of that era of American cars being over there. At any rate I like the close-in framing and all of the detail to be found. The chrome looks great. I'd hate to think what it cost to fill that thing up! Nice shot Jeppe!

To day I have saw more than three hundred of those old cars from the last century in my village.
This fleetwood cadillac is very beautifull and from a time where gaz was less expensive :)))
good colors and nice choice of framing.

Great shot - nice car too, if it was black it would remind me even more of the old Batmobile... ;)
