Photographer’s Note
Fynsvaerket (Fynsværket) is the power station of Odense. This morning the chimneys stood tall against the clear blue sky in a majestic row.
Fynsvaerket was build in 1953. It is placed close to Odense Kanal, the canal to Odense Harbour.
The power here is 640 MW, and in 2004 it delivered 1.997 GWh electricity and 8.564 TJ district heating.
Today, Fynsvaerket is owned by Vattenfall.

Hej Jan,
How I love the Odense Canal and the beautiful island of Stigoe. I have never cared about the power station and the garbage dump, but I must admit that you managed to capture a kind of majestic beauty of this place due to the great light and the excellent POV.Impressive shot!
Hjertelige hilsener fra syd for graensen!

You've made a very nice composition out of something I usually avoid looking at, if at all possible. Very nice DOF; I like how the smoke stacks follow the canal. You even captured a subtitle reflection of the smoke stacks in the water. I guess it is good for me to admit that it is places like these that make my life possible, even if I don't want to.
Cheers
Kate
