Photographer’s Note
Mohammad inspired me to post this photo, which I took, at the open air museum – The Funen village in the start of august.
When the corn should be harvest some 150 years ago, was it done by themes of two farmhands and one maid.
The first man where using a scythe, the second was gathering the crops and finally came the maid and tied a sheaf where the wire was self made of straw (what she's doing in the photo). Such a team was expected to harvest about 5000m2 corn on a day (if my memory serves me well)
This young girl was still learning, but she was doing well, said the men. It was a hot day (watch the colour at her face) – but even they where standing in the shadow, was it impossible for me to get the white clothes right – I guess it’s of the same type, used when advertising for washing powder ;-))
There’s a second pose-shot here.

Back in time with Jeppe! Love the subject, especially because the girl is working and the men are just looking (at her work or ath her???). Thanks for the informative note; it seems rather much to do in a day, but I guess they worked longer in the past. And the clothes are really nicely washed too as you said; maybee you could send your picture to unilever or so... Thanks for this beautiful image.

A sympathetic scene from out in the fields, Jeppe - I always enjoy to see such historical "reenactments" with folks being dressed in period clothes and preserving traditional ways of going about daily life. Good composition where the gaze of the two men guides additional attention to the girl who is the featured star. The guy in the middle reminds me of a character from the "Michel from Lönneberga" movies based on Astrid Lindgren's books that I saw on TV as a child in the 1970s.

Man skulle tro det var komunal arbejdere som var i disse klæder, tager position som så:-))
Flot hyggeligt billede med masser af nostalgi, eneste lidt kritiske til billedet er en meget hårde lys i hvidt.
Venligst - Kaj Nielsen

Nice to see 150 years ago in your country.
I like the composition with the men in the right and the corn in the left, the girl in the middle and I like the colours. And you know what ?
Many, many years ago (not 150...) I've been in Den Fynske Landsby with a friend of mine.
I can remember, there's a very nice mill, isn't it ? Somewhere I must have some slides...
