Brahetrolleborg Slot

Back to Denmark with this photo that I took in the early evening in a town called Korinth. It shows Brahetrolleborg Slot, which is located just outside the village.

Korinth, which is named after the Greek town, is a village of 1115 inhabitants, located in the middle of the island of Fyn (Funen).
Brahetrolleborg Slot was originally built as Holmekloster (Holme Abbey) by Cistercian monks in the middle of the 13th century. Since 1667 its name has been Brahetrolleborg, before that it was named Rantzausholm.

Hej Lars,
A "classic" photo of a castle and church with those reflections in the water. An absolute stillness over the whole picture. Very sharp and very good colours!

Olá Lars, lovely architecture and fine POV from a distance with a good use of the reflections to enhance the beauty of the subject. The white tower stands out nicely but I also like a lot the detail of that tree on the edge of the lake. Good work with the light that was disapearing, but the technical parameters are surprising: I mean, it should have been a lower shutter speed and higher dof.

mooie foto Lars.
goede compositie, uitstekende balans, mooie reflectie, ja windstil had helemaal perfect geweest maar dat is meestal een probleem. Meestal staat er wind. goed werk,. Prettige dag.

Hallo Lars,

Terug in uw tweede vaderland met een uitzonderlijke mooie foto.
Geluk met de wind wat de weerspiegelingen nu mooi weergeeft, echt in een licht blur.
Samenstelling en kwaliteit zijn excellent, misschien eens hernemen in de herfst met de speciale kleuren, misschien is dit net teveel gevraagd.

This is a very fine photo. Your composition is great using the reflection to create depth and balance. The trees frame the scene nicely helping to focus our attention on the building. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Hello Lars,
it looks like difficult to find a could POV with the trees everywhere. Good usage of this group at the left creating an additional frame also by their dark reflection. And the bright presentation with the soft blurred reflection works here.

Although I think the sky in the right sector, you wanted to help, has drawn very well this difficulty.

The viewpoint is extraordinary to appreciate a beautiful landscape architectural, with great definition, big and beautiful tonalities details.

The light is of large a sobriety, but sufficient to emphasize architecture. The calm water level suggests a peaceful atmosphere. Architecture is well described thanks to the point of view and with framing. An excellent work.

what a wonder!!! The subject is fascinating, but what I like more of this image are the reflexes on the water and the management of the light and the middletones. The composition is perfect, with the bush in foreground that gives depth to the image and the pleasant symmetry of the reflexes. Really a work by a good photographer.

very classical composition as it supposed to be for such a motive. Symetrical position and reflection of the building makes possible to enhance alrady very important and magnificent appearance of it. Inclusion of foreground vegetation gives great feeling of green surroundings. All is presented in very high quality and pays lovely compliment for captured scenery.
