Photographer’s Note

This is a very characteristic view along the coasts in the Danish winter - shrieking swans with singing wings. Against the dark, windy clouds their slow movements create a portending feeling of the coming of winter.

Hi Jan. Nice counterlight picture here. I like how the swans make some kind of diagonal line against the background. This is a good nature composition.

The birds are very well defined - the one with its head and feet displayed makes a pleasing change of silhouette. The panoramic format fits the diagonal composition perfectly.

Light is amazing in your perfectly taken photo. I like silhouettes of swans on air and blurry sky a lot while the shining parts of clouds increasing contrasts with birds. Excellent view, very good capture. Your panoramic crop worked very well too. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.
