Photographer’s Note

This is a view from Kronborg (Elsinore), looking out onto the mouth of the Oresund. Every 20 minutes at least two ferry companies leave Helsingoer, bound for Helsingborg, Sweden. The Oresund is the waterway that connects the Kattergat to the Baltic Sea. This has been a busy water way as long as Scandinavians have been using boats.

Kronborg, also known as Elsinore, is a castle created to monitor the traffic in the Oresund. To this day, one can still monitor traffic, from the castle, however the cannons are just for decoration.
