Photographer’s Note
This is the Bridge House welcoming visitors to Kronborg castle, also known as Elsinore, home of Hamlet. This house is located at the bridge over the outer moat to the castle. I'm sure it was an important watch point at one time, but now it is an ice cream shop in the summer, and just a pretty house in the winter. It is particularly Danish in color (many houses around Kronborg have that distinctive shade of orange). It also has its name 'Brohus' (Bridge House) prominently written on it, another trait common for houses from this time period. I was struck by the symmetry of house and the trees, which is what prompted me to take the picture.

Hello Kate.
What a simple and colorful shot.
The door and the windows are well-framed by the trees.
Really a nice shot.
Kind regards.
Bobo.

Hi Kate, I find this photo is about intersecting lines, the facade of the house has been compartmentalized by the trees, but it all works very well, the strength of the image comes from the house, good lighting and colour. Thanks Tom

Hej Kate.
When I first saw this photo I was struck by the symmetry the trees gave, perfectly placed in front of the house. Then I read your note and that this was why you took the picture. Same thought.
Good composition, perfect light, colours and sharpness.
Best regards
Per

Hello Kate,
A simple straightforward but well thought composition with the trees providing a prominent framework. Sharpness is OK, well rendering the orange tones of the house.
regards,
Paul
