Photographer’s Note

September is planting season for many farmers in Denmark. Both winter wheat and rape seed (used to make canola oil) are planted this time of year, and then the plants take off in the spring. I would guess this is a field of winter wheat.

Hi Kate,I think this a good example of rolling countryside, the diagonal tracks give it a further dimension,as does the light hitting the high ridge.The foreground with the tree seems a little untidy in comparison to the rest of the image.Thanks Tom.

Hi Kate.
You present the Danish landscape as beautiful as usual.
Maybe I would have rotated/corrected the horizon slightly to get rid of the darker stribe to the top right but that's a minor thing - or just me being fussy.

Hello Kate,
this random photo in your gallery caught my eye at once. It has a very original composition. I really can't understand what it reminds me of, but surely it is very interesting.
Green colour all around... with just slight different tints - simple and yet so effective! I especially like the combination of the darker bottom and that lighter "stripe" of yellowish-green at the top :)
