Photographer’s Note

This is the Danish country side in spring. This is a scene from one of my regular walks. One of the delightful aspects of living this far North is that dusk and dawn last a really long time, giving photographers ample time to try different shots. This is actually the last shot I took that evening and it turned out best, I think.

Hello Kate,

Very smooth colors and soft ambiance on this photo. The contrast is nicely low to allow a good reading of the details even in the shadow and the colored walls of the farm provide a good anchor in the reading of the picture.
I would have only suggested to perform a little cropping to go towards a panoramic frame, removing a part of the sky.

Kate, I love the lighting on the farm house and how it contrasts with the sky. i thought your subject was too far away and the horizon should of been higher, Thanks for sharing - mark

Fine silhuettes and keeping the farmhouse still warm from the setting sun is very metaphorical.
In fact, it is quite difficult to get well exposed pictures at this time of the day.
Just fine...
