Photographer’s Note
Another old shot scanned from film. This one was taken in 1984 ... probably in late October. It shows Frederiksborg Castle from across the lake. I did all I could to clean up the image. Hope you like it. The weather wasn't too good & it was cold & windy. I'm quite sentimental about this image because it was taken during my first & longest solo backpacking tour of Europe lasting for over eight months & covering many countries. Before that I didn't know anyone in Europe. I made some friends on this trip that continue to the present day.

Frederiksborg Castle is situated in the centre of Hillerød on three islets in the Castle Lake surrounded by Frederiksborg Castle Gardens. The castle was built in the Dutch Renaissance style at the beginning of the 17th century by Christian IV, then rebuilt about 250 years later by another great Dane, the brewer J.C. Jacobsen, following its destruction by fire.
The National History Museum at Frederiksborg Castle presents the history of Denmark and its important figures in a significant collection of portraits, historical paintings and modern art. The Castle Chapel survived when the rest of the castle burnt down in 1859 and today it stands as in Christian IV's time.

Hello Latiff. I like your positioning here with these tall grass forming a dark natural border along the bottom edge, and the tree on the right. Your position is good, with the castle across the lake, but capturing nice reflection on the surface of the ripples. The water and sky, are both pleasant, but don't really stand out, which is good. In this shot they are in a complementary role. Excellent sharpness and clarity of the subject in focus here. well done and have a nice day.

Hi Latiff,
Very very interesting shot. The grass in the forground provides nice depth to the shot. The building looks very nice.
Nice work.

Hello Latiff,
surely the PoV is great as well as the frame. At the right side there is a mauve vertical zone. I have seen phenomena like this many times on films. Nevertheless the composition is good enough.
Friendly,
Athanasios.

Hi Latiff,
the majestic buildings are captured in an atmospheric lightness and very well framed.
The sharpness of them is superb.
Have a nice time.
