Winter Moon Behind Chestnut
 |

| I love the shape of trees without their leaves. If you pay attention you can identify many species by just knowing the pattern of their branches. Unfortunately this is not the best example of a chestnut, but I thought it turned out well anyway with the moon behind it. |

Hello Kate
I love the eerie atmosphere which you have caught very successfully in this shot. However, I think that the composition would perhaps be improved if the moon was not in the centre of the composition but slightly to the right. I notice you are not using the full allowance of 800x650 pixels ( a problem for many newcomers to TE ) If you post to that size your photographs will have more impact.
A very interesting shot, and good use of B&W.
Best wishes...Maggie
I like the color composition in this picture. I think the white and black are picked up perfectly to create the powerful silhouette! POV is great as well. Well done.
prefect amount of light here, great overcast moon light, really almost makes it seems spooky, i love it
Hi Kate:
I love this scary-gloomy feeling of this shot... it's such a beauty. The silhoutte of the branches is like from the film "Sleepy Hallow". A sharp B&W... good composition. Cheers.
