Photographer’s Note
Frederiksborg castle walls, seen from the lake. POV is just a bit to the right from this one, evening sun was low...
For the lovers of square format, and not only... :)

Hello Alexander,
I like the square format you have chosen here, it suits the angular nature of the composition very well. Very good point of view; whilst the beautiful light shows the brickwork and reflections to best advantage. Great colours and clarity.

Hello Alexander,
Indeed the square format seem the best choice for this composition! The image is very beautiful for sure, with the reflections and the vivid colors. But what I like most is the form of the image...a small piece of art,so difficult for this kind of shots.Congrats!

Hi Alexander
I like the horizontal layering into thirds, of blue / red / blue, afforded by the superb fg reflection. Excellent colour & sharpness with superb framing & contrast. Tfs!

This is a nice shot of this great castle. The reflection is great creating depth and balance to the shot. The lighting and colors are fine with good sharpness and detail.

privet alexander!
@ times I am a lover of the square format, so thanks for pleasing me with this photo. nice, squarish capture of the very squarish architectural shapes of this castle. i find, your choice of format fits the character of the building well. i can easily imagine Frederick's powdered wig soldiers marching in precise ranks somewhere behind those walls.
good job as usual. my compliments and TFS.

admit, Alexander, there IS something about the square format that makes the photo look very neat :) although your photos would look neat even pancake-shaped.
beautiful crisp scene, the branch on the left not only gives a nice depth, but the precise silhouettes of the leaves that remind me of patterns on old tapestries create a very interesting contrast with the red bricks. I also like how the tower in the background, the tree and the corner of the building all line up, so neat :)
best,
Kristine

The water must have been very still to provide such a mirror surface for some wonderful reflections. The square format seems to suit the subject. I like the inclusion of the branches on the left to add extra interest to the composition. Technically spot-on

Hello there Alexander. Wonderful sharpness in this one, and a square format that works well with that broad frame. The corner of the wall looks almost like the bow of a boat. Marvellous light and shade on this fine day in August, and a delightful frame made with the leaves on the left. You've done a very good cropping job here. Very nice picture.
Regards,
Andrew

this is a brilliant composition aleksander... a bit too tihgt at the bottom may ve but the geometric lines of the castle and the reflections on the water is really cool to watch... i think the plant on the foreground on the left adds charm to this image...
all the best

Hello Alexander,
Very good composition in a format that I love (remember I love squares !). This succession of horizontal lines is superb and the definition and contrast are great. This very neat part contrasts well with the blurred reflection.
Well done !
Have a nice sunday.
