Photographer’s Note

This is an nontraditional view of Frederiksborg castle in Hillerød. This is a picture from a balcony in the cathedral of the church. It seems that just about every inch of space on this level is covered with some sort of decoration. It was only after I took this shot that I realized that there are actually tiny figures inside the thing (sorry, don't know what it is called) I have focused on in this picture. One has to wonder how long it took just to make this aspect of the cathedral.

This castle is covered with every sort of decoration imaginable. My colleague, who was actually married in this cathedral, said that this castle could be known as the Danish version of Versailles. While it is smaller, and quite Danish, it isn't a bad comparison.
