The Jizera Mountains in the north of Czech Republic belongs among the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Czech Republic. Mountains are beautiful in all seasons, but most visitors come during the winter to ski.
Picturesquae small settlement named Jizerka is the highest village in the mountains and it is also called the Heart of the Jizera. This settlement is located at the small plateau named Jizera Meadow and it is connected to the rest of the world by mountain road. Alongside Silver Brook and Jizera River these are old wooden cottages of mountains type, some of them with decorative details (Old Saw Mill, Lord´s Yard… )The dominant feature of the settlement is the highest basalt formation in Central Europe, known as Bukovec Hill (1005 meters).

Hello Jiri,

You present us with a very pleasant winter scene here! It really is attractive; the homestead looks particularly cozy. The crushed snow in the nearest FG is a very fine touch, and has plenty of definition to it. The lighting is very soft, eliminating any potential harshness or overexposure. The pink/orange hues are sensational. Excellent depth of field has been created here; it is possible to look all the way down to those hills in the background. The frosted tree is an exciting element also; I have never in my life seen anything like that.

Hello Jiri,

Red/pink sunset colors at horizon are creates a splendid scene with your well balanced view. I like your way adding house to scene while giving a clever depth with snowy field. Snowy trees are very nice.

I wish Happy New Year to you and your family.

Regards,

Ertugrul

Hallo Jiri!
That's winter indeed - and that's what I am waiting for ...!
A wonderful photo - nearly like a painting - which gives the feeling of cold. The shown landscape truly is beautiful, this must be a great place. Thanks for the informative note ... and all the best for the beginning new year!
Greetings from Westphalia, still without any snow ;-(
